Brownstown school board members Monday authorized Superintendent Mike Shackelford to prepare letters to the employee associations, informing them of the possibility of reductions in force for the coming school year.

Those employees who might not be invited back for next year must be notified by 90 days prior to the end of the current school year of that possibility.

The Board employed Mose, Yockey, Brown and Kull to perform audit work for the current school year, and reviewed a tentative calendar for next school year.

Laura Meier was hired as junior high Scholar Bowl coach for the school year, and an agreement was approved with Bushue Human Resources for human resource consulting services. A lease agreement was approved with Central States Bus Sales for a multi-functional school activity bus, and the resignation of Nicole Larsen was accepted, effective at the end of the school year.
