Charleston police are seeking your help in hopes of solving a stabbing incident over the weekend.

Charleston officers were called to a party in the 1000 block of 4th Street just after 2:30am Sunday.  When officers arrived, there were more than 100 people at the party, where it was reported that a large fight involving numerous people had occurred.  Officers spoke with an EIU student and football player who reported that he had been stabbed.

When officers went to Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center to speak further with the victim, they found a second victim, another EIU student, who said he also was stabbed at the party.

Charleston police are seeking a college age black male with dreadlocks, approximately 5'7" and weighing 190 pounds with a muscular build.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Charleston Police at 345-8422, or message the police department through Facebook or contact 911.  You can also contact Coles County Crimestoppers at 866-345-8488.  All information to Crimestoppers is anonymous.
