St. Elmo school board members Thursday heard that the State is again behind on funding for the district.

Superintendent Julie Healy gave the Board a mid-year district financial update. Healy indicated the State is behind on categorical payments, which is affecting current fund balances. In addition, the additional funding resulting from the state's new funding method has not been received, and there is no definite timetable for its distribution.

The Board was updated on student yearbooks, set May 19 as the high school graduation date, approved the risk management plan for the year, and hired Sarah Dirks as family consumer science teacher for next school year.
