One Injured in Effingham Crash

One person was injured in a crash in Effingham Thursday afternoon.  Details on the crash were released today by Effingham City Police.

The crash happened at 4:46pm at the intersection of North US 45 and the interstate off-ramp.  Police say a vehicle driven by 19-year-old Darcie Hammer of Shumway pulled into the path of, and was struck by, a vehicle driven by 39-year-old Patrick Browning of Rinard.

Hammer was injured and was taken by ambulance to St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham for treatment.  Hammer was cited for failure to yield.
