An Altamont man was injured in an early morning crash Friday.

48-year-old Troy Stuckemeyer was traveling on 300th Street, about half a mile south of 1500th Avenue at 5am. Effingham County Sheriff's deputies report Stuckemeyer lost control of his car, which ran off the east side of the roadway, striking the guardrail north of a bridge. The car went airborne, crossed a creek in the air, and struck an embankment on the south side of the creek.

Stuckemeyer was taken to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham. He was cited for improper lane usage and driving too fast for conditions.
