Three people were injured in a single-vehicle crash in Richland County early Sunday morning.

The crash happened at 2:51am in a rural part of the county. State police say 23-year-old Tailer Miller of Olney was traveling on Pleasant Ridge just east of Midway Road. Miller's vehicle left the roadway to the left and entered the ditch. The vehicle then came back onto the roadway and struck the roadway with the front driver's side, coming to rest in the ditch.

Miller was injured, as were two passengers, 26-year-old Ryan Hemrich of Olney and 25-year-old Clarissa Gutierrez of Olney. Miller was airlifted from the scene to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Indiana, while Hemrich and Gutierrez were taken to Carle-Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney. There was a third passenger, 29-year-old Shawn Manning of Mt. Carmel, but no record of whether he was taken for treatment.

Miller was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid the crash and improper lane usage. Miller, Gutierrez and Manning were each cited for not wearing a seat belt.
