Car/Tractor Crash in Fayette County Injures One

A car struck a farm implement, injuring the driver of the car.

The crash happened at 5:17pm Monday on Illinois Route 128, about a mile north of Moccasin Road. 

State police report a car driven by 19-year-old Malayne Seaton of Herrick was southbound on Route 128 when the car struck the rear of a farm implement being towed by a tractor operated by 34-year-old David Rodger Abendroth of St. Elmo. The implement, a reel disc, was damaged in the crash, as well as the car.

Seaton was injured and was taken to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.
