The Effingham County Bicentennial flag-raising ceremony is set for Monday.

The ceremony will begin at noon at the Effingham County Office Building at the jail entrance on the east side along 4th Street across from the Courthouse Museum.

County Board Chairman Jim Niemann will read a proclamation regarding the Bicentennial and then the Sheriff's Department Color Guard will present and raise the Bicentennial flag. The Effingham High School Chorus will be present to sing the state song during the ceremony.
