The Rotary Foundation currently holds world recognition as the world's best people-helping foundation. The Rotary Foundation has contributed $3 billion toward various people-helping causes.

The Rotary Foundation was the focus at the Effingham Noon Rotary meeting on November 15. Our own Dave Ring is Chairman of the Rotary Charities Foundation of Effingham. The local foundation helps locally and globally. Ring not only shared how the Foundation works and how more than 40 members of the Noon Club have contributed more than $1,000 to the Foundation to become Paul Harris Fellows, named in honor of the founder of Rotary.

Dave also had those attending group into tables and led the club in a Rotary quiz, focusing on questions about the history of Rotary locally, district-wide and internationally.

Chloe Langhorst was the Rotary weekly student guest. She is the daughter of Carol Karpinski and Alan Langhorst and is a senior at Effingham High School.
