Two Effingham High School students have a little more scholarship money after competing in a contest in Edwardsville over the weekend.

Noah McCammon and Cole Stanfield are juniors at EHS. They were invited to compete in an event Sunday sponsored by the Association of Filipino Physicians of Southern Illinois.

EHS Principal Kurt Roberts said the event was similar to the Scholastic Hi-Q television program.

EHS teacher Norene Ault said McCammon placed second overall to earn scholarship money, while Stanfield answered three bonus questions to win funds.
