Marion County Accident Injures Five

Five people were injured in a crash in Marion County Saturday night.

A truck driven by Quade W. Coble, 24 of Louisville, was traveling east bound on Walnut Hill Road approaching the intersection with Illinois Route 37 at 5:59pm as a vehicle driven by Steven R. Parker, 43 of Kell was traveling north bound on Rt 37 approaching the intersection with Walnut Hill Road. 

As both units approached the intersection Illinois State Police report Coble failed to stop at the stop sign, crossed onto Rt 37, and T-boned the Parker automobile. After impact Coble's truck proceeded to spin out of control leaving the roadway into the ditch. Parker's vehicle spun into the right ditch, where it rolled over multiple times, before coming to a rest upright.

Both drivers, an unknown female passenger in the Coble's truck, as well as two passengers in the Parker vehicle, Sarah Beasley-Knaak, 41 of Kell and Gloria D. Parker, 83 of Dix were all transported to Salem Township Hospital. Coble, his unknkown passenger, Beasley-Knaak, and Gloria Parker were all taken to St. Louis University Hospital for further care.

Charges are pending as the investigation continues by State Police.
