A van and two cars collided near Kinmundy Thursday morning, with one of the drivers receiving injuries in the crash.

The crash happened at 8:10am on Illinois Route 37, one mile north of Kinmundy.

State police report vehicles involved were a van driven by 47-year-old Anthony Finkbone of Salem and cars driven by 47-year-old Mark Pearson and 19-year-old Keely Smith, both of Kinmundy.

Police say Finkbone's van was traveling southbound, while Smith's car was traveling northbound behind Pearson's car. Finkbone's van crossed the center line, striking the front of Pearson's car and sideswiping Smith's car.

Pearson was injured in the collision and was taken via ambulance to Salem Township Hospital in Salem.

Finkbone was cited for improper lane usage and no valid insurance.
