Crash Tuesday on Routes 32/33

Two vehicles collided Tuesday morning on Illinois Routes 32/33, injuring one of the drivers.

The crash occurred at 7:42am, about 500 feet west of Nazarene Road.

Effingham County Sheriff's Department reports a vehicle driven by 17-year-old Brandon Marschewski of Effingham rear-ended a vehicle driven by 77-year-old Elwood Webb of Effingham.

Webb was injured and was taken to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

Marschewski was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid the collision.
