Halloween Evergreen Candy Trail Well Attended

The Effingham Park District Halloween at Evergreen Hollow Park Candy Trail was well attended Saturday evening despite the cold temperatures.

The event, sponsored by Effingham Ambulatory Surgery Center, Brown's Drug Store, Nuxoll Food Center, Dan Hecht, Effingham Builder's Supply and Jansen's Heating & Air, had a costume contest and pumpkin painting along with the candy giveaway.

Candy was handed out by Premier Broadcasting (979 XFM & KJ Country 102.3), Crisis Nursery, Suzette Brumleve Memorial Effingham Public Library, Effingham Ambulatory Surgery Center, Effingham Police and 911 Telecommunications and Effingham Fire Department.

Over 500 children participated.

Pumpkins were donated by The Great Pumpkin Patch in Arcola. Awards were donated by Buffalo Wild Wings, Wal-Mart and Steak 'n Shake.
