Another day, another scam.

Here's the word we received from Burnel Beckman, Risk Officer at Dieterich Bank:

"We have received word from several customers that they have received phone calls telling them they have been pre-approved for a loan from some type of lending agency. They are told that for convenience the loan funds can be directly deposited into their checking account if they just provide their internet banking credentials. If they agree to the loan, there will be a small fee to pay for processing costs for which they must send a money gram back to the lender. This is a scam. The deposit will be made by mobile deposit and it will bounce in a few days, plus the scammer has access to the person’s online account to set up outgoing transfers. Do not fall victim to this! Never give out online banking credentials to anyone!"
