Effingham Police Report Injury Accidents

Effingham City Police have reported on two injury accidents that occured within the city.

On Monday at 3:57pm west of the intersection of US Highway 40 and Outer Blet West a vehicle driven by Carl D. Stevenson, 77 of Independence Missouri, collided with a vehicle driven by Marilyn J. Barcus, 75 of Effingham. 

A passenger in Stevenson's vehicle, Janet Stevenson, 73 of Independence Missouri, sustained injuries and was taken by ambulance to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Carl Stevenson was ticketed for Failure to Yield.

 

At 4:43pm on Thursday afternoon at the intersection of Fayette and the I-57 Northbound/ I-70 Eastbound Ramp a vehicle driven by Tharin L. Harris, 20 of Louisville, rear-ended a vehicle driven by Micheal J, Antinoch, 50 of Effingham.

Antinoch sustained injuries and was transported by ambulance to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital for treatment.

No citations were issued.
