The Stewardson-Strasburg Education Foundation raised $3,484 at its recent golf outing at Fox Prairie Golf Course in Windsor. Six teams competed and the winning team was comprised of Steve Laur, Gary Ellis, J.J. Wright and Lindy Woodward with a score of 53. Larry Renshaw was the winner of the putting contest and Lindy Woodward won the chipping contest.

“The Stewardson-Strasburg Education Foundation would like to thank everyone for donating prizes as well as Fox Prairie Golf Course for their help in planning this event. Weiss also expressed his thanks to Chris Debolt, Jessica Howe, Dean Keller, Alicia Kessler, Mary Tabbert and Jay Vogel, members of the foundation’s advisory committee, for their hard work in making the event a success.

Prizes were donated by Tractor Supply of Shelbyville, Martin’s IGA of Effingham, Vahling’s Winery of Stewardson, First National Bank of Stewardson, TGI Friday’s of Effingham, Fox Prairie Golf Couse, Windsor Pub, and Rural King of Mattoon. The Mike Antonacci Family was the Hole-in-One sponsor. Breakfast catered by Why Not Restaurant in Stewardson. Lunch was donated by Culver’s in Effingham.
