Stewardson-Strasburg school board members debated the future of the district's bus barn at this week's meeting.

Three options are being considered...tear the barn down and not replace it, repair the barn, or replace the barn. No decision was reached.

The Board heard from auditor Kent Kull that the school district's financial rating is at 3.9, up from 3.8 last year and based on a 4.0 scale. The district was again given financial recognition status, the highest possible.

Board members authorized Superintendent Michelle Lindenmeyer to donate old copy machines to charitable organizations since they're no longer needed by the District. The Board also heard that this past summer's maintenance project is almost off the books, as a punchlist of items taken care of on the project is being prepared.

There was no action on approving a new contract for Lindenmeyer, but she said the matter should be finalized at the November meeting.
