A Marion County man has been sentenced in Effingham County Circuit Court to seven years in prison.

30-year-old Rodney Wynn of Salem pleaded guilty Thursday to a count of aggravated criminal sexual abuse involving a victim more than five years younger than Wynn. The charge was filed in August.

In addition to the seven-year prison term, Judge Allan Lolie ordered that Wynn serve two years' mandatory supervised release once he's out of prison.

Effingham County Sheriff's Department arrested Wynn, who was given credit for 76 days served in jail prior to his sentencing.

The sentence also bars Wynn from contacting the victim, the victim's family, or the victim's home.
