100+ Women Who Care Effingham County will make its third community grant of 2017 on Thursday, October 5 at the Effingham Performance Center. Registration will begin at 5 p.m. in the VIP lobby and the meeting will begin at 6 p.m. Light refreshments will be served throughout the evening. Guests who are interested in learning more about 100+ Women Who Care Effingham County are encouraged to attend the meeting for free.

100+ Women Who Care Effingham County meets three times a year for a one-hour meeting. Members join the organization annually and sign a commitment to donate $400 per year. The first $100 commitment supports the 100+ Women Who Care Effingham County Endowment, managed by Effingham County Community Foundation, to address future needs of the community. In addition, every member pledges to donate $100 at each of the meetings for that year (whether they attend or not) to be donated to a selected non-profit organization in Effingham County. Non-profits are nominated and presented at each meeting and are voted on by the members. In July, the members of 100+ Women Who Care Effingham County selected the Effingham Child Development Center as the recipient of the $12,700 collected contribution at its second membership meeting of 2017.

The 100+ Women Who Care Effingham County Endowment is a fund of Effingham County Community Foundation, an affiliate of Southeastern Illinois Community Foundation.
