Former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich has delivered a blunt assessment of his time behind bars, saying he takes it “one day at a time” 5 1/2 years into a 14 year prison term.

Chicago tv station WMAQ has begun airing two hours of interviews with Blagojevich, who is spending his days at a Colorado lockup. Blagojevich says his career change has been humbling....

Blagojevich still takes issue with his 14-year sentence, which was upheld after some of his corruption convictions were thrown out by Judge James Zagel...

He continues to express hope for exoneration.
