A Lake Land College Representative will be visiting local libraries on a regular basis to meet with people interested in learning more about options available at Lake Land.

Lake Land College Director for Community Outreach Chris Strohl will be available to help people get started, learn more about financial aid, learn how to transfer credits and complete a degree, prepare to train for a new career or register for a class or two.

“I look forward to meeting with people who are thinking about returning to school. These library visits are a great time to explore options and ask questions without a commitment,” Strohl said. “We have so many options for people who are either looking for a short-term program or who have been away from school for a long time.”

All library visit days will take place from 2-4 p.m. on the following days and locations:

  • Effingham Public Library—First Tuesday of the month – Sept. 5, Oct. 3, Nov. 7, Dec. 5
  • Marshall Public Library-Second Tuesday of the month – Sept. 12, Oct. 10, Nov. 14 and Dec. 12
  • Shelbyville Public Library--Third Tuesday of the month – Sept. 19, Oct. 17 and Nov. 21
  • Sullivan Public Library-- Third Monday of the month –Sept. 18, Oct. 6 and Nov. 20

Lake Land College offers several certificate and degree programs that train students to enter the workforce or transfer to a four-year college. Lake Land College’s tuition and fees are among the lowest in the state and financial aid is available to those who qualify. For more information about the college visit lakelandcollege.edu.
