Brownstown Board Handles Hirings

Brownstown school board members took care of some personnel matters at this month's meeting, heading into the new school year.

The Board hired Laura Meier as junior/senior high school English teacher, and hired Brenda Wilson as a Pre-K aide. Whitney Schaal was hired as a Title I and Breakfast Aide, and Deidre Murray was hired as a 1 to 1 Special Education Aide.

Brownstown board members hired Jessica Sefton as high school track coach, and accepted resignations from Sara Cortelloni and Marisa Thomason.

The Board also awarded the SEPCO Co-op bid award to Kohl Wholesale; approved a start-up contribution to the Fayette County CEO Program; and okayed a two-year bus maintenance agreement with Ronnie Zimmer.

Board members also set a public hearing on the tentative fiscal year budget for Monday, September 18.
