Auto Accident Causes Widespread Power Outage

Just before 6:30pm Friday night a single vehicle accident where a vehicle struck a power pole led to a power outtage in and around Effingham. The power was out for nearly 2 hours as a major transmition line from Ameren was damaged which also effected Norris Electric customers in the area including causing 97.9xfm to be off the air.
