Monday at the State Fair

Monday, August 14th is Senior Citizens & Scout Day at the Illinois State Fair. Fairgoers that are 60 and older are admitted to the fairgrounds for free! There will be special events in the Senior Citizens Center that take place all throughout the day. Scouts in uniform will also be admitted to the fairgrounds for free. The Scout Day Tent will be located directly outside the entrance to the Carnival Midway.

Here are just a few highlights of the events for Monday:

•      Enclosed Arena: Draft Horse & Pony Show at 10am

•      Illinois Building: Not So Newlywed Game at 11am

•      Illinois Building: Senior Spelling Bee State Finals at 1pm

•      Rising Star Stage: Competitive Eating Contest at 3:00pm

•      Ag Tent: Illinois Chopped Challenge at 5:00pm

•      Rising Star Stage: Blacktop Mojo at 5:00pm

•      The Shed: Hooper the Hypnotist at 6:30pm

•      Multi-Purpose Arena: Truck & Tractor Pulls at 7:30pm

•      Grandstand: Herman's Hermits with Peter Noone at 7:30pm (free concert!)
