The person stabbed during an altercation at a home in Dieterich last October has been sentenced for his role in the altercation.

20-year-old Skyler Roley of Dieterich was placed on two years' conditional discharge, was credited for 13 days served in jail during the disposition of the case, and must pay court costs.

Roley and two others went to a house along Illinois Route 33 in Dieterich. Police at the time said Roley used a chain as a weapon on Anthony Hawes of Dieterich and that Hawes stabbed Roley in self-defense.

The two who traveled to the house with Roley have had their cases concluded, as well, either receiving conditional discharge or probation.
