Officials are continuing their investigation into a fiery crash in Flora Thursday morning that resulted in two deaths.

The crash occurred just before 6am on US Route 50 at Stanford Road.

Three vehicles were involved, a semi driven by 65-year-old Walter Pollock of Sikeston, Missouri, a minivan driven by 29-year-old Eric Bosel of Noble, and a utility vehicle, whose driver has not been publicly identified.

State police report Pollock's semi was eastbound on Route 50, and Bosel's minivan was headed westbound, and the third vehicle was behind the minivan. The report indicates the semi swerved into the westbound lane and struck the minivan. The rig then veered off the minivan and struck the utility vehicle.

The minivan and the utility vehicle then became engulfed in flames, killing Bosel and the driver of the utility vehicle.

Pollock, the semi driver, was cited for improper lane usage, DUI drugs, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The crash remains under investigation by State Police and the Clay County Coroner's Office.

Reports were that authorities were seeking a black male wearing a red ball cap and black T-shirt, but it's not known the man's connection, if any, to the crash.

Flora police and Clay County sheriff's deputies reportedly conducted an extensive search of the area around the crash scene, but no subject was located.
