Clay County Hospital Announces Scholarship Recipients

The Clay County Hospital Endowment Foundation has announced three recipients of its 2017 Fall Semester/Program Scholarship Awards. The Foundation awards $5,000 in scholarships per year to qualifying Clay County Hospital Employees who are pursuing educational and training programs. Each scholarship recipient receives $1,000.00.

Clay County Hospital employees, who received scholarship awards include: Leesa Anderson (Clay City) who is pursuing her Associate Degree in Nursing at Frontier Community College; Amanda Fuson (Flora) who is pursuing her Family Nurse Practitioner degree with focus in Education at Western Governors University; and Stephanie Spalding (Flora) who is pursuing her Associate Degree in Nursing at Frontier Community College.

“It is through the generosity and commitment from our community of caring donors that these scholarship funds are made available. We received a tremendous response to our call for scholarship applications and our Scholarship Committee had a difficult task of selecting the top recipients,” stated Emily Milner, Clay County Hospital Endowment Foundation Coordinator.

The Clay County Hospital Endowment Foundation invites and accepts financial gifts to help further the mission of Clay County Hospital Endowment Foundation. Clay County Hospital Endowment Foundation’s mission statement is to build friendships and secure resources for Clay County Hospital. A part of securing resources for Clay County Hospital is recognizing and supporting the importance of continuing education and training of its employees.
