A Teutopolis man was sentenced to 18 months in prison for a felony offense in Shelby County.

36-year-old Joseph Klein received the sentence for driving while his license is revoked. The sentence will run concurrent with an offense from Christian County.

The charge stemmed from an accident in a rural part of the county on January 28. Authorities found no one around the vehicle involved in the crash, but Oconee first responders found Klein about a quarter-mile from the crash scene. He acknowledged he had been driving the vehicle, and did not have a valid license.
