The Effingham Water Authority this week voted to retain the current officers.

Rob Brown will remain chairman, Jim Boos vice chairman and treasurer, and Chris Kabbes secretary. The Board also voted to maintain the same personnel: Michael Dirks as Lake Superintendent, Jamie Sayne as Office Manager, and Tony Siemer as Water Authority Attorney. All Water Authority personnel were granted a 3% pay raise.

The Water Authority heard from Mary Santangelo, who approached the Board regarding a replat of her lot. The Board will inspect the property during a special meeting set for Friday. The Board also approved a request for $250 from the Fishing Committee. The request is part of a grant and will help supply plants to improve the fish habitats at the lake.

Brian Larson continued discussion with the Water Authority regarding an exchange of property to assist the Lake Sara Beach and their future planning. The Water Authority office will supply information to Larson, and he will then meet with Milano and Grunloh Engineers regarding a survey of the property. The Board will be visiting the property during an upcoming special meeting.
