The two men suspected in the armed robbery at Prime Sole in Effingham earlier this year are under Federal indictment.

19-year-old Allen McCray and 23-year-old Victor Linton, both of Omaha, Nebraska, were indicted Wednesday by a Federal grand jury for the Southern District of Illinois for the holdup of Prime Sole on April 19 as well as armed robberies at MotoMart, Circle K and Casey's General Store in Metro East on April 15.

Authorities allege a shot was fired during the Prime Sole holdup.

Some of the charges carry potential sentences of up to life imprisonment and fines of up to $250,000.

Effingham County State's Attorney Bryan Kibler already has local charges on file in the Prime Sole case so he will be deciding whether to pursue those charges or let the matter be prosecuted at the Federal level.

The federal charges on which McCray and Linton were indicted are conspiracy to interfere with commerce by robbery, four counts of interference with commerce by robbery, brandishing a firearm during a crime of violence and discharge of a firearm during a crime of violence.
