Teutopolis resident Dalton Ard was sentenced Tuesday to three years in prison.

The 20-year-old Ard admitted to violating his probation on a robbery charge, leading to the prison time.

Ard was originally charged in August 2016 and was later placed on four years' probation plus jail time. A petition to revoke his probation was filed in March of this year, leading to the prison sentence.

Ard will have to complete three years' mandatory supervised release once out of prison.

A domestic battery count filed when Ard was originally arrested was dismissed as part of his original guilty plea.
