One person was injured in a crash Tuesday afternoon involving a semi and car in Clark County.

State police say the crash occurred at 2:44pm on I-70, two miles east of Casey.

Police say the semi driven by 42-year-old Oklahoma resident Jason Griffith and a car driven by 47-year-old Florida resident Michael Young were both eastbound. Another car was in front of Young's car. The unknown vehicle and Young moved to the right driving lane and was passing, driving side-by-side with the semi. The unknown vehicle passed the semi. The semi then changed lanes and struck Young's car in the rear. Young lost control of his car, which ran off the roadway and then struck a ditch and embankment, overturning on its top.

Young was injured and was taken to Terre Haute Regional Hospital.

Griffith, the semi driver, was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid the crash.

The other car left the scene.
