Greenup resident David Croy has been found competent to stand trial, so his armed robbery case is back on track in Cumberland County Court.

The 68-year-old Croy is charged with robbing the Dollar General store in Greenup on March 22. Croy was apprehended shortly after the holdup.

In May, a defense request was filed to have Croy examined as to his fitness to stand trial and assist in his defense. Last week, it was ruled Croy is fit.

Croy is next due in court on August 7 for a pre-trial conference. His jury trial is set to begin August 16.
