Reconstruction Forces Luther Street Closure

Luther Street, North of the Fayette Frontage Road will be closed for the next 6 weeks for reconstruction.

This will affect access to the Hillside Drive Apartments and St. John’s Cemetery. There will be a marked detour route for access to the Hillside Drive Apartments and cemetery. Access may not be available at all times for visitors to the cemetery but arrangements will be made for full access during funerals.

The DETOUR ROUTE utilizes Illini Drive to the parking area behind Culver’s with a temporary rock road from the parking area to Hillside Drive. Motorists are encouraged to use caution and allow additional travel time.
