A Shelbyville woman has been sentenced to two years in prison.

30-year-old Felisha Sickles admitted to allegations included in a petition to revoke her probation for theft. Sickles was also sentenced to a concurrent one-year prison term on a charge of obstructing justice.

The petition to revoke her probation was filed after Sickles failed to report for appointments.

The theft charge came in June of 2016 after the owner of a car filed a report that Sickles kept his car for over a month and kept giving him excuses as to why she would not return it.

The obstructing justice stemmed from a case in May of this year. Sickles was seen walking along railroad tracks in Shelbyville. When a police officer approached her, she fled but was apprehended after a pursuit. When asked why she fled, Sickles said she didn't have money for bond. She was also spotted throwing items away in which white powdery substances were found. The substances were found to be "bath salts".
