A Flora man was injured in a motorcycle crash Sunday night.

The crash happened just after 9pm on East North Avenue, east of North Stanford Road on the east edge of Flora.

State police say a cycle operated by 41-year-old James S. Musgrave ran off the south side of North Avenue and Musgrave lost control of the cycle. The cycle ended up on its side and hit a guard rail.

Musgrave was taken to Clay County Hospital in Flora and was then airlifted to Carle Hospital in Urbana with serious injuries.

Police cited Musgrave for DUI, improper lane usage, and failure to reduce speed to avoid the crash.
