Effingham South Business Group Forms

When the Southtown Business Association dissolved a couple of years ago, it left business on Effingham's south end without a group that represents their specific interests.

Casey Tibbs is working to change that situation.

Tibbs is owner of Image Squared Marketing, a south end business. He has helped organize the Effingham South Business Group.

Tibbs said the group hopes to unite community, drive economic development, and work to improve the business landscape on Effingham's south side.

An initial public forum and question-and-answer session will be held at America's Groove Record Store in Village Square Mall. The gathering will take place on Wednesday, June 7 at 5pm.

Tibbs said business owners and representatives are highly encouraged to attend, as they hope to build the group based on south side needs, wants and concerns. Snacks and drinks will be served. A Facebook page has been created for Effingham South Business Group and you're encouraged to "like" it.
