Six people were injured in a two-vehicle crash on Keller Drive in Effingham Friday afternoon.

Effingham city police say the crash occurred at 2:27pm just south of Avenue of Mid-America.  A car driven by 27-year-old Kathy Lyles of Gary, Indiana pulled from a private entrance into the path of a pickup truck driven by 34-year-old Kevin Fishburn of Stonington and the pickup truck T-boned the car.

Lyles and Fishburn were both injured and were taken to St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham for treatment.  So were four passengers in Lyles' car; 51-year-old Dana Steele of Riverdale, and six-year-old Kayla Harper, two-year-old Kyle Harper and seven-year-old Dniya Lyles, all of Gary, Indiana.  Police say at least one of the children was airlifted out for additional treatment at another hospital.

Kathy Lyles was cited for failure to yield at a private drive and for no valid driver's license.
