A 54-year-old Kinmundy man had bond set at $25,000 after being charged in Marion County Court Tuesday with burglary and unlawful possession of a controlled substance.

Dennis Lee is accused of entering a building owned by Rodney Montez on South Salem Road in Kinmundy and for possession of less than 15 grams of heroin.

Lee was arrested by Kinmundy Police after they investigated a report of a missing bow from Montez's garage. Lee allegedly had sold the bow to another man who turned it over to police. After the arrest on the burglary charge, police allegedly found a plate with what field tested as heroin in the garage of Lee's home.

The public defender was appointed to represent him. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 20th. Lee has also filed a motion seeking to reduce the amount of his bond.
