Dan Hecht Chevolet-Toyota held a groundbreaking ceremony for a major addition to the dealership Thursday morning.

General Manager Jim Hecht said he's hoping for completion around Christmas.

The expansion will include a new showroom, two additional service bays, expansion of their body shop and new accommodations for both staff members and for customers.

Much of the dealership's operations will be housed in portable buildings on the northwest corner of the parking lot during the project.

A ribbon cutting ceremony for the addition is expected to coincide with the dealership's celebration of its 60th anniversary in 2018.
