South Central School Board

South Central school board members this week heard about progress being made on a major construction progress at the high school building in Farina.

The project involves removing an existing portion of the building and construction of classrooms and a cafeteria, among other improvements.

The Board also approved an amended budget for the current fiscal year, agreed to seek bids on various commodities, and hired Glass and Shuffett to do audit work

In personnel moves, the South Central board approved a leave for Kelley Dial effective August 8, hired Louis Carter as a bus driver, approved Kevin Yates as a support staff member as of August 1, and approved Kyli Holmes as a volunteer cheer assistant coach at the middle school building in Kinmundy for the coming school year.
