Roof repair work should begin at month's end at Neoga Junior-Senior High School.

The school board has awarded the work to Top Quality Roofing of Mt. Zion. The work is to be completed about the first day of the coming school year.

The Board also accepted a resignation from Julie Altman as junior high assistant volleyball coach, but tabled another resignation request. The Board reassigned Sherry Fearday from an elementary teacher spot to Grades 6-8 Language Arts, reassigned Melinda White from fourth grade to third grade teacher, and hired Kim Romack as a summer school behind the wheel instructor.

Neoga board members approved the district framework for a Grades K-12 Language Arts curriculum, and set a special Board meeting for May 24 to fill a vacancy on the Board. Not enough people ran in the April election to fill all of the open seats on the Board, a problem seen in several area school districts.
