Mattoon Man Injured in Clark County Crash

A Mattoon man was injured in a crash in Clark County during the noon hour Tuesday.

The crash happened just before 1pm on I-70 eastbound, 4-1/2 miles east of Marshall. 

State police report a car driven by 30-year-old Miguel Estell of Mattoon was traveling ahead of a semi driven by 55-year-old Ravinder Singh of Canton, Michigan. Police say when Singh attempted to pass Estell, Estell moved to the passing lane in front of Singh to make a turn in the center turn median and the semi struck the car.

Estell's car ended up in the median.

Estell was injured and was taken to Terre Haute Regional Hospital. Singh was not injured.

Estell was cited for improper lane usage.
