Watson Man One of Two Arrested in Wayne County Incident

A Watson resident is one of two men arrested this week in a drug-related incident in Wayne County.

Lance C. Welch was taken into custody after Wayne County sheriff's deputies conducted a search warrant on a room at the Budget Inn in Fairfield. The 42-year-old Welch was arrested along with 54-year-old Bradley Gammon of Bluford on preliminary charges of possession with intent to deliver controlled substance and other drug-related charges.

Found during the search was approximately 20 grams of a-PVP (bath salts), assorted drug paraphernalia, digital scales and numerous plastic baggies. 

Also seized was $1,457 in cash and a SUV.

Welch was in Wayne County Circuit Court for filing of charges. He is due back in court May 18 for a preliminary hearing.
