The Teutopolis Village Board Wednesday reorganized following the April election.

John Mette, Greg Oseland and David Tegeler were sworn in to new terms as village trustees, Rita Swingler was sworn in to a two-year term as village treasurer, and Sharon Will was sworn in to a four-year term as village clerk.

The Board approved building fee changes, including adding fees for a permit to raze a building and for a permit to place a portable building. It was also agreed to ask the police department to contact a tow company to remove an abandoned vehicle in the village.

Board members hired Joe Runde and Bill Niemeyer to do summer maintenance and agreed to seek two more summer workers. Charles Heuerman Trucking was contracted to supply street maintenance materials, and Village Board President Greg Hess was authorized to sign an audit agreement with CPA Mark Kenter, as well as a mosquito larvaciding agreement with the Effingham County Health Department.

The Board also agreed to obtain quotes on the cost of removing trees along South Columbus Street, from Elm to Southern Row, and approved this year's street maintenance map.
