Allied Capital Title Acquires Bray Title Services

Founded in July 1997, Bray Title Services was owned and operated by Bob and Vicky Bray and serviced Effingham and surrounding counties. In 2009, Bray acquired East Central Title and Effingham Title.

Allied Capital Title, LLC, is the largest independently owned title company in the east central Illinois area. Its history dates back to the 1930’s and Champaign County Abstract Co. In addition to Champaign, ACT has offices in Springfield and Danville. With the addition of the Effingham office, ACT will provide real estate title services in over 23 counties throughout the state of Illinois.

Speaking of the purchase, Bob Bray says “I think the combination of the Bray Title team (who are all staying) along with the ACT team will create tremendous value for our customers in the delivery of prompt and expert title services. The combined company will be better able to service the real estate transactions across the area.”

Bray Title Services is located at 1000 W. Jefferson Avenue in Effingham.
