Neoga school board members approved a new Grades K-8 Science curriculum at this month's meeting.

Consultant Denny Cook and Neoga teacher Jordan Bear presented information on the proposed curriculum prior to the vote to approve. It's the first new curriculum purchased by the district in several years.

The Neoga board also approved the drawing and bid specs for roof work at the junior-senior high school building, and also approved a resolution regarding revenue to be received by the district from the new Cumberland County Occupational Sales Tax. The Neoga district was already estimating to receive $116,000 from sales before the Love Truck Stop opened recently in Greenup.

In personnel moves, the Neoga board employed Doug McClure as artistic and tech director for the high school musical; accepted the resignation of junior high Language Arts teacher Tracy Wright; approved the resignation of Abby Saafrank as high school volleyball coach; and increased the status of high school Math teacher from part-time to fulltime for next school year. The Board also approved Jordan Bear as a Grades K-8 technology and computer teacher for next year.
