Man Located After Crash in Cumberland County

A man was located overnight after leaving the scene of a crash of his vehicle in Cumberland County. The man was also arrested after a scuffle with authorities.

28-year-old Jarod D. Carlen of Toledo was located at a residence after the crash that occurred about 9pm near Seven Mile Curve, west of Toledo and north of Montrose. 

State police report Carlen's vehicle ran off the roadway at Cumberland County Road 500 East near 600 North. Carlen left the scene on foot. His vehicle was discovered about 9:30pm and the attempt to locate him soon followed. Cumberland County sheriff's deputies and Toledo authorities joined state police in the search. Carlen was located at a residence at 12:16am today after police looked in the woods and checked at residences in the area of the crash.

Carlen was injured in the crash and was treated at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Coles County, then released.

Carlen was also arrested on counts of aggravated battery of a police officer, DUI, threatening a public official, resisting arrest, obstructing a peace officer and numerous traffic offenses.
