Another Day, Another Word About a Restaurant; Chili's is Coming to Town

Chili's Grill and Bar is coming to Effingham.

City Economic Development Director Todd Hull Friday mentioned during remarks at the Chamber First Friday Luncheon that Chili's will locate in the former Ruby Tuesday's location on Avenue of Mid-America. That news follows our report Thursday that Panera Bread will be located in a new building just off Keller Drive.

Chili's first restaurant opened in a converted post office in Dallas in 1975. It's a casual dining restaurant that features a Tex-Mex cuisine as well as various burgers. No word on when the restaurant will open.
